A very rough Christmas poem

Once upon a recent time,
I had no power to leave behind
The bleatings of my tortured mind--
The futile longing and the fears,
The weight of all the wasted years--
Lost in the corridor of doubt
It seemed that there was no way out.

But in my Spirit's darkest night,
Suddenly, there shone a Light.
Now here below, as is above,
All that exists is God's great Love.

Merry Christmas!

  1. Merry Christmas, Ruth!! Thank you for supporting and commenting on my column! I always appreciate your thoughtful views!

  2. Dr. J.,

I left a comment here earlier, and it seems that google has swallowed it whole.

I appreciate your consistent comments on my very inconsistent blog, and I hope you're having a beautiful Christmas with your family and friends!

  3. You mean Christmas is not all about the presents and candy? Oops!

Hope you had a great holiday!

  4. Well, presents and candy are pluses for sure!

Thanks Crabby, I had a wonderful holiday. I got to spend a little time with my brother and Mom, and spend some time with friends, too.

Hope your holiday was great, and Happy New Year!
